Getting the Smile You Want for Your Lifestyle

Do you feel self-conscious smiling during a photo due to crooked teeth or because you wear braces? Are you shy during a social situation or amongst a crowd because your braces can be visibly seen? There are several reasons why you may need braces, starting from misaligned teethed, the correction of over or underbites, and more. Wearing braces, however, is a long process and can make anyone feel conscious and shy. Have you ever considered Invisalign treatment?

Straighten teeth more comfortably and less visibly with Invisalign

Invisalign is a technology that will literally put a smile on anyone who needs dental braces. It is a clear and removable aligner made from plastic and suitable to tilt and rotate teeth in their correct position. They are custom made braces that do not use brackets or wires on the teeth and are also known as clear aligners. What’s more, they are scientifically proven to be an effective, easy and relaxed option for orthodontic treatment.

Invisalign clear aligners fit over the top and bottom of your teeth. Depending on the treatment, you will be wearing a series of aligners to gradually move your teeth into their desired position. Invisalign clear aligners can work for both simple fixes or more complex shifts. This will all be determined during your initial consultation and a customized course of treatment will be outlined for you. Making over your smile and transforming it into something you will love and wish to show off to others can all happen in as little as 6 months, depending on the complexity of the case.

Invisalign treatment for teenagers

Invisalign Teen are clear aligners specially designed for teens who are active, growing, and susceptible to the everyday mishaps that are part and parcel to adolescent life. Metal brace can be a real and formidable concern at this age and Invisalign is the clear choice for teenage orthodontic treatment. At Pasadena Smile Center, we are pleased to offer the Invisalign aligners to patients of all ages.

The aligners offer several benefits such as:

  • Invisalign trays are invisible, so they do not detract from your smile.
  • As they are made of flexible plastic, they are more comfortable than traditional metal braces.
  • You can remove them to brush and floss your teeth, and the Invisalign tray can be cleaned as well.
  • You will save time on dental visits as these aligners do not require a lot of maintenance.
  • You can eat what you want with Invisalign as it can be removed while eating. So, there are no food restrictions.
  • You can remove them during social events, and no one will know you use braces.
  • It is suitable for people of all ages, especially teenagers who wish to not wear metal braces.

How does Invisalign for teenagers work?

The Invisalign clear aligners are custom made to fit individual needs. A computer program takes into account how the teeth are aligned now, and how they need to be changed, and the aligners are custom made. A high-tech scanner is used to map out how your ideal smile should look and a custom treatment plan is then designed to help you achieve this. The tiny and barely noticeable aligners are worn for at least 20-22 hours a day, allowing for time to eat, brush, and floss.

The aligner tray is changed every one to two weeks and each tray that you will wear is different from the previous one, based on the progress and shift that will have been made. The tray will shift your teeth slightly and all small movements will add up to a big change that will result in a transformed smile, all in as little as 6 months, depending on the case.

If braces are not an option for you, or if your teen has expressed objections or reservations to traditional braces, then please feel free to call us and schedule a consultation with Pasadena Smile Center for Invisalign Teen treatment.

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19

May 2020

Dear Valued Patient:

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

  • All patients must wear a mask when entering the office.
  • Anyone accompanying you will be asked to wait in their vehicle.
  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
  • Upon arrival at your appointment your temperature will be taken for the safety of all staff and patients.
  • Prior to receiving treatment you will be asked to rinse with an antimicrobial for a minimum of 30 seconds
  • We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
  • You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
  • UV Air purifiers have been placed throughout the office.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
  • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time, so we ask that you do your best to be on time.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at (626)798-7834 or visit our website at pasadenasmilecenter@yahoo.com.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

Sincerely, Niloufar Molayem, D.D.S. & Team
